Project 365: Day Five

I tried to get all creative with this photo by setting my ISO to the highest level possible and changing the color settings to black and white (a.k.a. Blanco y Negro). I was hoping to get something that looked grainy and spooky, and in the full file, it does kind of look that way.

I’m thinking I’ll try these settings at one of the local graveyards one of these sunsets.

When I was younger, we dug a hole outside the fence at the local graveyard and bought a few younger kids up to show them where the dead bodies had escaped.

“They aren’t out there now though, right?”

“Well, they got most of em”

hahhahahaha…oh man, we were cruel. An oldie but a goodie.

Oh yes I like the feeling of this one. To get that spooky grainy look, I like to just shoot in color and then in Photoshop use the channel mixer (check the box for monochrome) and move the levels around in there to get the look you want. I find this works well. Just a little pointer to let you know about in case you didn’t know about this trick. ;)

Zach, I wish my nephews were still small, because I would totally play that joke on them.

Rach, thanks for the tip! I wanted to try to get the look solely through my camera, because I find Photoshop to be a pain in the butt.
